By doing so, supporting and enriching the lives of the animals housed there. We shall consist of a diverse group of people, ages 18 and up, who believe in our goals. The Junior Booster Club, ages 14 and above, shall follow such mission as well.
HERKIMER COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY'S BOOSTER CLUB GOING STRONG
Do you have some extra time and would like to help us, help the animals? How about volunteering to be Herkimer County Humane Society Booster? The Booster Club works with the Board of Directors in helping to do fundraising events and off-site adoption clinics. They have proved to be invaluable to the shelter and without their help many of the events that we have conducted recently would not have been as successful as they were. Don't want to get "too close" to the animals? No problem, there are many things that can be done without having contact with the animals (although our adoption rate is extremely high, and we lose very few animals). If you would like to become a Booster, you can either call the shelter at 866-3255 and leave your name and telephone number for our Booster President, Danyel Sommer-Everson or complete the attached Booster Club Form and mail it to the shelter today. Please consider being a volunteer, it is a wonderful way to give back to your community.
Some of the events that the Boosters, along with Board Members will be attending are:
- Pet Pictures with Santa Clause - dates and timesto be announced
Please come to these events and see what the Boosters do.
