Event Location: DOLGEVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Event Description: On Thursday, December 21st., Herkimer County Humane Society volunteers and Board Members, Jodi Flo and Cathy Winston and Jodi’s “nieces”, Myrna Korce and Donna Korce went to Dolgeville Elementary School and collected a huge amount of dog food, cat food and other supplies and treats for the “residents” of the shelter.

This year, first grade teachers, Mrs. Fields, Ms. Roberts, Mrs. Wainwright, and Mrs. Fredericks and second grade teachers, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Gonyea, Mrs. Hopsicker and Mrs. Bowman and their wonderful students collect items for the animals at The Herkimer County Humane Society.

Mrs. Flo, Myrna and Donna talked to the students about pet responsibility, what the shelter does and what a typical day at the shelter is all about. We think everyone learned a little bit about what it takes to be a responsible owner and everyone just loved Myrna and Donna and they loved the kids! They even got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.

We would like to thank the first and second grade teachers and their wonderful students for their donations. Because of their continued kindness, we are able to take care of our animals until they find their forever homes.
